Dyspraxia/DCD is a lifelong neurological disorder that affects fine and/or gross motor coordination in children and adults, with speech often affected. Although Dyspraxia/DCD are primarily motor disorders, individuals can also experience difficulty with memory, perception and processing along with poor planning, organization and sequencing skills all of which can have a substantial adverse impact on everyday activities
The Spotlight Foundation raises awareness, provides support and advocates for those impacted by Dyspraxia/DCD in the United States through collaboration with our global network of Dyspraxia/DCD champions.
Seeing a need for energetic, nonprofit work in this area we have formed our organization to provide real solutions for persons who need assistance in finding the appropriate professionals identify and diagnose Dyspraxia/DCD, as well as find support post-diagnosis. Funding will assist those, evaluated on a case by case basis, who qualify to obtain some of the services necessary to effectively navigate through an already complicated process.
Your donation will go towards illuminating Dyspraxia/DCD awareness for families, educational professionals, and medical professionals. Funds will support our nonprofit organization’s rebrand, new website, and resource development.
We are a 501(c)(3) Tax Exempt Public Charity (EID 84-1928356).

Harry Potter is a hero to a generation of kids who are fans of the books. But actor Daniel Radclife, who plays the clever wizard in the Harry Potter movies, has also become a hero, of sorts. He’s speaking out for kids with dyspraxia, a condition that makes it hard to plan and coordinate physical movement.
A nonprofit is as strong as the community that holds it up. Together, we can do more than we can do alone. Let's bring our abilities and passions together to affect real change.
